To ensure the best experience for all clients, please review our salon policies before booking. Our guidelines cover new client expectations, extension care, appointment deposits, cancellations, and payment terms. These policies help us provide a smooth, professional, and personalized service while respecting everyone's time.
Extension Policy
Hair extensions are an investment that requires proper maintenance and care to ensure their longevity and protect the health of your natural hair.

Move-Up Appointments: Extensions must be maintained every 6-8 weeks to prevent damage, tangling, and discomfort. Move-ups help keep the extensions secure and looking seamless.

Home Care Requirements: Clients must use salon-recommended professional haircare products to ensure the health of both natural hair and extensions. Avoiding drugstore shampoos, excessive heat, and rough brushing will significantly extend the lifespan of your extensions.

Brushing & Styling: Extensions should be brushed daily with an extension-safe brush to prevent matting. Avoid pulling or tugging, especially at the root.

Washing Routine: It’s recommended to wash hair 1-3 times per week using sulfate-free products and to fully dry the wefts to prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to damage.

Sleeping with Extensions: Always secure hair in a loose braid or ponytail before bed to minimize tangling. Using a silk pillowcase can also reduce friction and breakage.

Final Sale Policy: Once purchased, extension hair is non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Every order is custom-matched to ensure the best blend for each client.
Failure to follow proper maintenance can affect the longevity of your extensions and may require more frequent move-ups or replacement.
Payment & Cancellation Policy
A non-refundable deposit is required to book an extension appointment with one of our stylists. If you cancel, you forfeit your deposit and the cost of the hair. If your installation is not scheduled or completed within 90 days, the deposit is forfeited, and the hair remains property of Ayla Mac Hair Co.
We use high-quality extension hair exclusively available to IBE stylists, meaning it can only be installed at Ayla Mac Hair Co. and will never be given to clients for self-installation or use at another salon.

Appointments are confirmed 72 hours in advance. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a cancellation fee will apply.

Cancellations less than 48 hours of your appointment will result in a charge of 50% of the scheduled service cost.

Cancellations less than 24 hours or no-shows will result in a charge equal to the full amount of your scheduled service amount, plus you forfeit your deposit and hair.

Arriving more than 15 minutes late to the appointment, may require rescheduling and I will not be able to accommodate your service. Cancellations due to late arrival will result in a fee equal to 50% of the services booked.
The cancellation policy allows me the time to inform my standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone.

By booking an appointment and entering your credit card information, you authorize Ayla Mac Hair Co./Tara Mclaughlin to charge your card for agreed-upon services, purchases and any applicable cancellation fees as listed above.​
New Client Policy

We specialize in luxury extensions and dimensional color services. If your desired look isn’t the right fit for our expertise, we’ll gladly refer you to another stylist. Our team includes trained co-stylists who assist during appointments for efficiency and quality.​

I love capturing transformations, therefore appointments may be documented through photos or videos for educational and marketing purposes. Please notify us before the service begins if you prefer not to be included in social media content.​

Our schedule stays full thanks to our loyal clients, but we welcome new guests whenever possible. If an appointment isn't immediately available, we can place you on a waitlist or connect you with my co-stylist, Christina, for sooner availability. Our priority is ensuring every client leaves feeling confident and cared for.​​​

​Due to limited space, safety concerns, and respect for other clients, only those receiving services are allowed in the salon.

Hair Extension Clients
To ensure the best experience and results, all new IBE extension clients must schedule a consultation before booking their first service. This consultation allows us to assess your hair’s current condition, discuss your hair goals, and determine the best approach for your desired look.

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied toward your total service cost.

The consultation is mandatory for all new extension clients and must be completed before scheduling an extension installation appointment.

All new IBE extension clients must fill out the required New Client IBE Form before their consultation to provide details on their hair history and goals.
